We’re a company full of innovative individuals, or as we call them, #innoviduals. This bi-weekly series highlights some of our best and brightest employees, providing insights about the scope and depth of talent throughout Leidos.

This week’s #innovidual is Bill Brennan, our Senior Director of Global Information Security.

Tell us a little about your job role and responsibilities, and/or something you’re currently working on

“My job is to lead strategic capability growth within Corporate Information Security (CIS) and various corporate initiatives in cyber platform protection, workforce development, and overall strategy.”

Why is innovation important in your role?

“In the cyber domain, the pace of change is rapid, requiring agility unlike most professions. This requires us to respond quickly to the innovation of others while using our own initiative to introduce new capabilities”

What’s your definition of innovation? What does innovation mean to you?

“Innovation is all about how you create value from something new. In cyber, our ability to innovate drives our capacity to stay ahead of adversaries.”

Bill recently co-wrote a series on the future of the cybersecurity workforce with Meghan Good. On Oct. 18, the two of them will be co-hosting a workshop on the same topic at NIAS, NATO’s annual cyber symposium.
