Fortune 500® Science and Technology Leader Signs Three-year Deal with Keystone Sports and Entertainment as Local Presenting Sponsor of Army-Navy Cup

CHESTER, Pa. (October 2, 2017) – Keystone Sports and Entertainment today announced a three-year agreement with Fortune 500® science and technology solutions and information technology services leader Leidos for the company to become the Local Presenting Sponsor of Army-Navy Cup. An annual soccer showcase between the two service academies, the deal begins with this year’s Army-Navy Cup VI, scheduled for 2:00 p.m. ET on Sunday, October 15. Tickets for Army-Navy Cup VI are on sale now through PhiladelphiaUnion.com.

“This year’s Army-Navy Cup is fast approaching, and we are delighted to welcome Leidos aboard as our Local Presenting Sponsor,” said Philadelphia Union Chief Business Officer Tim McDermott. “Leidos is a global industry leader and partnering with them only further enhances the profile of this great event, held each year at Talen Energy Stadium. It’s an honor for us to be a part of the journey for the athletes of Army and Navy, future leaders of our military and country.”

Headquartered in Reston, Virginia, Leidos aims to solve the world’s toughest challenges in the defense, intelligence, homeland security, civil and health markets. The company’s mission is to make the world safer, healthier, and more efficient through information technology, engineering and science. Leidos has a long-standing commitment to supporting veterans and active military, with 20% of the company comprised of veterans.

“We’re excited that, through our sponsorship of the Army-Navy Cup, we’re able to further our support and commitment to members of the armed forces,” said Leidos Chief of Business Development & Strategy, Gerry Fasano. “We owe our men and women in uniform gratitude for everything they do to keep our nation safe.”

Army-Navy Cup has seen significant growth over its five years at Talen Energy Stadium. Each of the last three years, crowds have broken the 10,000 barrier. During that time, attendance was among the top handful of crowds for a college soccer match anywhere in the country, as well as the largest crowds east of the Mississippi River.

Talen Energy Stadium played host to the inaugural Army-Navy Cup in 2012 with the series currently deadlocked, each side holding a 2-2-1 record over the span. The debut edition in 2012 ended in a draw. Navy won in both 2013 and 2014, while Army has taken the contest in each of the last two years.

In the all-time rivalry between the two clubs, Navy leads the series against Army, 40-29-14.
