Tell us a little about your job role and responsibilities, and/or something you’re currently working on
“I provide technology leadership to the UK Civil, Defence and Health groups, nurturing our capabilities, teams and individuals to bring the best possible solutions and services to our customers. I’m particularly interested in developing our capabilities in emerging technologies, bringing our world-class system and service integration skills to solve big problems in new and innovative ways.”
Why is innovation important in your role?
“Technology evolves fast, and there is a huge opportunity to innovate by designing, integrating and consuming the technology in new ways to solve problems in ways that haven’t previously been considered or possible. Motivating the team and giving them the ability to grow their knowledge breadth and thinking enables innovation which benefits both the customers and our own business.”
What’s your definition of innovation? What does innovation mean to you?
“Innovation is about transformation and exploiting new ideas – technology is a great avenue for this as it’s evolving fast, but innovation isn’t bound to this. We are really innovative in areas like service integration and delivery, improving customer experience not just with new technology.”
